decide if they could be our friend. You have learned a lot about Katniss over
the past few weeks. Tell whether or not you could become best friends with her.
Describe, using specific reasons from the text, why or why not.
I would be good friends with katniss because we have the same hobby of hunting animals with a bow and arrows. katniss says and I quote "I like killing animals better than killing people". In that state of mind she. Does not really want to be called a killer but she promised Rue she will try to win the hunger games.But with thins statement me and katniss would be great friends just like her and Rue I would be there for her watching her back.

I would like to be best friends with KTniss because we do have some things in common and we would be able to understand each other in some ways. For example we both have little sisters that we care about and truly love. Also because we both have to take care of our little sisters but Katniss does have to do harder work but we both do feel li ke we are responsible to take care

ReplyDeleteI do not think that Katniss and I would be good friends because,yes I like to hunt but I think I would enjoy the hunger games except for the starving.Now don't get me wrong i don't like the idea of killing but it would be fun to test your strengths against other people so you can see your combat and survival skills.Now with manipulation of families I think I would agree but unlike her I would fight and start a rebellion against the Capitol even if I get killed I would still stand up for others.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you it would be awesome to test are strength and see how long we can survive. Also it is wrong to kill people just for your entertainment so I think they should make it where you don't actually die you just lose. Or they can make it virtually where your in like an online game but when you die in the game you just get kicked out of the game.
DeleteYour right it would be cool in a video game but I would like it more if it were person vs. person because it's you and your abilities where a video game would be like super fast reflexes and stuff like that.

Also, Katniss reminds me of my cousins in Massachusetts because they like to hunt a lot just like her. Katniss would be a very good friend because she was disappointed at the fact she had to kill humans. That means I would never be scared of her turning on me and trying to hurt me. She also seems to care a lot about her friends. She doesn't want peeta to die and she helps him to stay alive. She also helped Gale and his family stay alive.

Also, she is a good hunter and is cautions about things around her like land mines. Plus she is very skilled with a bow, and I like archery so I think me and Katniss would be a good team in the Hunger Games.

She cares about her family and friends, I'm clumsy sometimes so if I got hurt she would try to bring me back to health like what she did for Peeta in the arena. Katniss could also help me with aiming for things because I have terrible aim. Im not very good in bad situations like being in the Hunger Games so she would help calm me down as if I were Prim when she was in the reaping.

She would help me if I got hurt, or made a mistake. I also agree with the fact that she would help calm me down in the games, just like she has to Peeta. I don't think I could ever aim either. Katniss would be a great friend.

Also, if you get to know Katniss, she can really help you along the way. For example, Rue was being a good friend to her so when Katniss went hunting she made sure she got Rue some food since she is so good at hunting.

DeleteI would love to be friends with katniss because she is a great friend she is loving,caring,kind,thoughtful,and obedient.If you knew or actually felt what Katniss goes through each day and night worrying if prim and her mother have food to eat and she traded herself so that prim didn't have to do the games. Also she cares about gale and she had to take on a lot of responsibility ever since there dad died,I know some teenagers wouldn't be able to do what katniss did.for example,she never killed peeta in the games even when she had to heal him and he couldn't walk she didn't leave him there to die or suffer.But lastly she barely knew Rue and she stood by her side shared supplies and they wasn't even in the same district even when rue die she cared enough to take out the spear and decorate flowers around her body. So I would want to be her friend because I know at the end of the day she will be their for me even to risk her life and I can trust her.
ReplyDeleteQorah, its funny because when I initially read this question, I thought that I wouldn't be able to be friends with someone like Katniss. She is rough and tumble and quite frankly I'm a big wuss. I wear my emotions on my sleeve while Katniss keeps a straight face at all times. However, after reading your response, I'm starting to change my opinion. You are completely right when you say,"she will be there for me even to risk her life and I can trust her." I couldn't agree more! She always risks her life for her family and friends, so why wouldn't she do that for me, too!

DeleteYes I wold love to become Katniss friend because she is a caring,thoughtful person. For example she volunteers as a tribute for her sister prim at the reaping. Also she cared for Rue in the hunger games even though they were in 2 different districts, and when rue died Katniss takes the spear out of Rue's body and puts flowers all around her body. Then when she found Peeta camouflaged with mud on the ground and a injured leg she cared for him all the way until he was better.

Also she is very strategic for example she cuts the tracker jacker nest on to the "crew" and kills one to knock out some competition. And she is very trustworthy like she cared for prim and when she died she decorated her body to show the game makers she wasn't just a pawn in their game she was a little girl so I would be her friend because she is strategic,trustworthy,and stand up for what she believes in so we have a lot in common from athletic ability to caring for another
